Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been earned on hard surfaces
A resurgent Medvedev secured his maiden trophy for over two years with success over Frenchman Moutet in the competition title decider.
The athlete, a former number one, has endured a difficult season, winning just a single victory at the Grand Slams and experiencing a difficult moment at the US Open.
His inconsistency on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serving in specific - caused him dropping out of the elite rankings and ultimately separating with long-term mentor Cervara.
Currently training with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually progressed in the recent weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought three-set win over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's maiden trophy since the Rome competition and maiden on a hardcourt after March of 2023.
The win also indicates he has won twenty-one victories at 21 various competitions.
"For the first time I have attended a tournament with my children simultaneously, so to win a trophy is really nice," commented tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my child her name, because the initial championship I got when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had failed in his last six championship matches, featuring in Halle earlier this year.
The player's defensive approach and recurring reactions on court had led observers to doubt if his skill to perform at the top level was finished.
However the 29-year-old has altered his approach in recent weeks, making an effort to approach the net and perform aggressively, reinforced by an better serve.
Medvedev recovered from a disadvantage in the initial set against the tricky Moutet, securing 4 of the last five points to take the lead.
The competitors exchanged break points in the middle set before the challenger, striving for his maiden professional title, gained dominance to push for a decider.
Moutet saved four early-game break points in a close deciding set before the champion won the break to that score to serve for the match.
Fittingly, he clinched victory with a shot at the net, with his opponent incapable to manage a return after over two and a half hours.
